Step1 out of a 2 step process


01 Neck

You should be able to fit your index finger between your neck and the measuring tape. Take the measurement around your neck just under your Adam’s apple. You should be able to fit your index finger between your neck and the measuring tape.
 

02 Chest

Take the measurement around your chest and back at the widest point, usually your nipple level. Take the measurement around your chest and back at the widest point, usually your nipple level. Keep the tape level around the body, measure underneath the armpits and around the shoulder blades at the back. Stand normal and relaxed. You should be able to fit your index fingerbetween your chest and the measuring tape.

 

03 Front

The measurement starts and ends where your arms meet your torso. With your arms held relaxed at your side, take this measurement across your chest at your arm pit level. The measurement starts and ends where your arms meet your torso. Ensure that the tape is kept level around the body and that you measure only to where your arms meet your torso, not under the armpits.

 

04 Back

Measure only to where your arms meet your torso, not under the armpits. With your arms held relaxed at your side, take this measurement across your chest at your arm pit level. The measurement starts and ends where your arms meet your torso. Ensure that the tape is kept level around the body and that you measure only to where your arms meet your torso, not under the armpits.

 

05 Stomach

Take the measurement around the widest part of your stomach. Take the measurement around the widest part of your stomach. This should be just below your rib cage and slightly above your navel. Ensure you are relaxed and do not suck in your stomach. You should be able to fit your index finger between your stomach and the measuring tape.

 

06 Full Shoulder

This measurement will be slightly rounded with your natural shoulder line, it should not be horizontal. Take the measurement across the back of your shoulders from the end of your left shoulder to the end of your right shoulder. The tape should be kept just below the collar line of your shirt. Note, this measurement will be slightly rounded with your natural shoulder line, it should not be horizontal. This will be your desired shoulder width of the suit.

 

07 Waistcoat Length  ( Front )

Take the measurement from where your collar and shoulder seam meet to the bottom of the center of your waistband. Take the measurement from where your collar and shoulder seam meet to the bottom of the center of your waistband. Note that the tape measure is slightly diagonal.

 

08 Jacket Length  ( Front )

The norm length is level with the tip of your thumb when your arms hang naturally down your side. Take the measurement from where your collar and shoulder seam meet to your desired jacket length. The norm length is level with the tip of your thumb when your arms hang naturally down your side (adjust longer/shorter as desired). Ensure the tape is kept straight and tight.

 

09 Waistcoat Length ( Back )

Take the measurement from the bottom of your collar, down the center of the back, to the bottom of your pants’ waistband. Take the measurement from the bottom of your collar, down the center of the back, to the bottom of your pants’ waistband. Ensure the tape is kept straight down the spine and tight.

 

10 Jacket Length  ( Back )

Take the measurement from the bottom of the collar, down the center of the back, to the lowest point of your seat. Take the measurement from the bottom of the collar, down the center of the back, to the lowest point of your seat. Ensure the tape is kept straight down the spine and tight.

 

11 Sleeve Length

We recommend that the measurement ends just after the wrist bone, this will allow a portion of the shirt to show past the jacket sleeve. Take the measurement from the seam across the top of your arm down to the desired length of your jacket sleeve. We recommend that the measurement ends just after the wrist bone, this will allow a portion of the shirt to show past the jacket sleeve. Depending on the order of a suit or a shirt, we adjust this length.

 

12 Bicep

Take the measurement around the widest part of your upper arm. Take the measurement around the widest part of your upper arm. Ensure that the measuring tape is kept horizontal and that you can fit a finger between the tape and your arm.

 

13 Wrist

Ensure that the tape is kept horizontal and that you can fit a finger between the tape and your wrist. Take the measurement around your wrist bone. Ensure that the tape is kept horizontal and that you can fit a finger between the tape and your wrist.

 

14 Trouser Waistline

Ensure that the measurement is kept horizontal and that the tape measure did not measure over any part of your trousers waistband. Take this measurement around your waist, just above the waist band of your trousers. You should be able to slide your finger between the tape and your body. Ensure that the measurement is kept horizontal and that the tape measure did not measure over any part of your trousers waistband. This measurement is likely to be a slightly greater than your “off-the-rack” trousers.

 

15 Trouser Seat

This measurement is to be taken around your hips and buttocks at the widest point. Make sure you keep the tape measure horizontal. This measurement is to be taken around your hips and buttocks at the widest point. Make sure you keep the tape measure horizontal. You should be able to slide your finger between the tape and your hips easily. Ensure your pockets are empty.

 

16 Outside Leg

Do not look down when getting measured as it will affect the length of the measurement. While standing comfortably, measure from the top of the waistband, down your trousers side seam to about 1⁄4 inch above the floor. Do not lookdown when getting measured as it will affect the length of the measurement. Keep the measuring tape tight and as straight down the seam as possible.

 

17 U-Crotch

Stand comfortably with your legs normal distance apart, measure in between your legs from the top of the waistband in the front of your trousers to the top of the back. While standing comfortably with your legs normal distance apart, measure in between your legs from the top of the waistband in the front of your trousers to the top of the waistband at the back. Adjust based on your desire for a higher or lower crotch finish than the pants you currently have on.

 

18 Thigh

Measure the widest part of your thigh. It is likely to be near the top of your leg. Measure the widest part of your thigh. It is likely to be near the top of your leg. Ensure that the measuring tape is kept horizontal and that you can fit a finger between the tape measure and thigh.

 

19 Knee

While keeping your leg straight, measure directly around your leg roughly 2 inches above the knee cap. While keeping your leg straight, measure directly around your leg roughly 2 inches above the knee cap. Ensure that the tape is kept horizontal and that you can fit a finger between your leg and the measuring tape.

20 Pant Cuff

(1/2 Final Measurement ) Run the measuring tape around your leg about 2 inches above your ankle bone. That will be 1⁄2 the finished cuff width. Run the measuring tape around your leg about 2 inches above your anklebone. That will be 1⁄2 the finished cuff width. Alternatively, lay your best fitting pants flat on the floor and measure across the bottom of the pants (this is also 1⁄2 the final measurement).
