Measurement Form

01 Neck

Take the measurement around your neck just under your Adam’s apple. You should be able to fit your index finger between your neck and the measuring tape. Final measurement.

02 Chest

Take the measurement around your chest and back at the widest point, usually around your nipple level. Ensure that the tape is kept level around the body and that you measure underneath the armpits and around the shoulder blades at the back. Stand normal and relaxed. You should be able to fit your index finger between your chest and the measuring tape. Body measurement, final measurement will be adjusted slightly.

03 Stomach

Take the measurement around the widest part of your stomach. This should be just below your rib cage and slightly above your navel. Ensure you are relaxed and do not suck in your stomach. You should be able to fit your index finger between your stomach and the measuring tape. Body measurement, final measurement will be adjusted slightly.

04 Waistline

Take this measurement around your waist, just above the waist band of your trousers. You should be able to slide your finger between the tape and your body. Ensure that the measurement is kept horizontal and that the tape measure did not measure over any part of your trousers waistband. This measurement is likely to be a 2 inches greater than your “off-the-rack” waistline size. Final measurement.

.

05 Seat (Hips)

This measurement is to be taken around your hips and buttocks at the widest point. Make sure you keep the tape measure horizontal. You should be able to slide your finger between the tape and your hips easily. Ensure your pockets are empty. Final measurement.

06 Thigh

Measure the widest part of your thigh. It is likely to be near the top of your leg. Ensure that the tape measure is kept horizontal and that you can fit a finger between the tape measure and thigh. Body measurement, final measurement will be adjusted slightly.

07 U-Rise

While standing comfortably with your legs normal distance apart, measure in between your legs from the top of the waistband in the front of your trousers to the top of the waistband at the back. Adjust based on your desire for a higher or lower crotch finish than the pants you currently have on. This measurement will be the finished pants crotch length. Final measurement.

08 Bicep

Take the measurement around the widest part of your upper arm. Ensure that the measuring tape is kept horizontal and that you can fit a finger between the tape and your arm. Body measurement, final measurement will be adjusted slightly.

09 Wrist

Take the measurement around your wrist bone. Ensure that the tape is kept horizontal and that you can fit a finger between the tape and your wrist. Typical wrist measurements are between 7 and 9 inches. Final measurement.

10 Shoulder

Take the measurement across the back of your shoulders from the end of your left shoulder to the end of your right shoulder. The tape should be kept just below the collar line of your shirt. Note, this measurement will be slightly rounded with your natural shoulder line, it should not be horizontal. This will be your desired shoulder width of the suit. Final measurement.

11 Front Shoulder

Take the measurement from the left shoulder point to right shoulder point in level. Ensure the tape is kept horizontal across the chest. Final measurement.

12 Sleeve Length

Take the measurement from where your shoulder measurement ended (shoulder seam) down to the desired length of your jacket sleeve. We recommend that the measurement ends about 1 to 1.5 inches after the wrist bone, this will allow a portion of the shirt to show past the jacket sleeve.  If you are wearing a dress shirt, measure to the end of your cuff. Depending on the order of a suit or a shirt, we adjust this length. Final measurement.

13 Back Length

Take the measurement from the bottom of your collar, down the center of the back, to your desired jacket length. We recommend this measurement to finish at the lowest point of your seat for a suit jacket and slightly longer for an overcoat. Ensure the tape is kept straight down the spine and tight. Final measurement.

14 Outside Leg

While standing comfortably, measure from the top of the waistband, down your trousers side seam to the floor. Do not look down when getting measured as it will affect the length of the measurement. Keep the measuring tape tight and as straight down the seam as possible. Final measurement.

15 Nape to Waist

Take the measurement from the bottom of your collar, down the center of the back to roughly 1 inch above the backside of your navel height (i.e. around where the stomach measurement was taken). Ensure the tape is kept straight down the spine and tight.

16 Neck Shoulder Point to Waist

Take the measurement from where your collar and shoulder seam meet down to the line 1 inch above your navel (i.e. around where the stomach measurement was taken). Ensure the tape is kept straight and tight.

.

17 Front Waist Height

Take the measurement from the middle of the stomach (i.e. where the Front Waist Length measurement finished) to the bottom of your pants waistband. Ensure the tape is kept straight and tight.

18 Back Waist Height

Take the measurement from roughly 1 inch above the backside of your navel height (i.e. where the Nape to Waist measurement finished) to the bottom of your pants waistband. Ensure the tape is kept straight and tight.
