Craftmanship
Shaw & Co. is proud to provide its clients with high quality hand crafted suits and shirts. Each custom suit is fabricated to your exact measurements and style. Extraordinary attention is paid to every detail of your suit.
Full (Floating) Canvassing
All of our suits feature full (floating) canvassing. There is absolutely no gluing or fusing on our suits. Full canvassing is a feature reserved for only the most high quality suits. Although the procedure is meticulous and takes considerable time and energy to do, it allows the suit to move and drape naturally. The result is a better looking, flowing, and lighter garment.
Working (Surgeon) Cuffs
Each of our custom made suits feature working (surgeon) cuffs. This refers to the ability to unbutton the button located on the sleeves of your suit. Working cuffs have become a sign of fine custom tailoring and are not found on any off the rack suits. Leave the last button on the cuff undone in order to let the world know your suit is custom.
Handpicked Stitching
Another true sign that your suit is custom made is the handpicked stitching that runs along the lapel and edge of the jacket. On a well made suit, true handpicked stitching is subtle, imperfect, and gives character to your suit.
Jacket Lining
Each of our suit linings are made of 100% rayon. Rayon is considered the finest lining for suit jackets due to its breathability, smooth appearance, and durability.
Sweat Shields
We understand the stress long hours in high pressure environments can put on you and your suits. That's why we ensure that the underarm of every custom suit jacket has a sweat shield to protect your suit against perspiration and odor.
Rubberized Waistband
Nothing is more annoying than constantly having to tuck your shirt in every time you move. To help prevent this, each of our pants' waistbands contain a rubber strip to ensure your shirt stays neatly tucked away.
Heel Protector
Due to use, the hem and heel on the bottom of most suit pants becomes frayed and worn rather quickly. However, the bottom of each of our suit pants has an additional strip of fabric to protect the heel and hem from fraying.
